Travel to London
Travel to London had been on my bucket list for years, and the anticipation of finally experiencing this vibrant city had only grown with time.
From the moment I first learned about its rich history, iconic landmarks, and diverse culture, I knew that visiting London would be a dream come true. The thought of strolling along the banks of the River Thames, taking in the majestic sight of the Tower Bridge, and exploring the historic streets of Westminster filling me with excitement.
London's blend of tradition and modernity, from royal palaces to the Shard, captivated my imagination and made this long-awaited journey a deeply felt adventure.
I hope that my blog post about my trip to London will assist you and enrich your experience when you go.
Getting There
By Air: Major airports include Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton.
Travelocity is my go-to for booking airline flights. It consistently finds the most affordable options for multi-city trips. For instance, we planned a five-day visit to London, followed by a Eurostar journey to Paris, where we would tour Paris and Versailles for two days before returning to Indianapolis from Paris.
Being from the Midwest, we chose to fly from our local airport in Indianapolis, with a layover in Boston before heading to Heathrow. Our arrival at Heathrow was smooth, and passing through customs to enter the country was straightforward.
There are a few ways to get to London from Heathrow which is approximately 16 miles away.
Getting Around
Taxi - This was our selected option. Simply follow the signs to the taxi stand. Our group consisted of five people, which was perfectly suitable for a taxi. In the UK, black taxis have fold-up seats that let you store luggage underneath and can accommodate six passengers. The cost was around £50, but well worth the price and takes approximately 45 minutes.
The London Underground (Tube) - The Heathrow Express transports you from Heathrow Airport to Paddington Station in just 15 minutes for £25 per person. Purchase either online or at the ticket machines at the airport.
I purchased our Visitor Oyster cards online prior to our trip. These Visitor Oyster cards are pay as you go on: bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground, most Elizabeth line, IFS Cloud Cable Car and Thames Clippers River Bus services. I purchased ours with £25 on each one so we were able to use them immediately.
Bus - Travel from Heathrow to London via the National Express for £8.40 (one way). This option takes only 40 minutes and stops at London Victoria and can be purchased in advance through their website. The Visitor Oyster card can be used on the bus as well.
Staying Connected
While traveling to Europe or any other foreign country, it's essential to have mobile service on your phone for communication and using Google Maps for navigation.
If your mobile carrier doesn't offer international coverage, I've found that eSIMM's like Nomad or Airalo are both convenient and cost-effective. You should download the app before leaving your country and set it up once you arrive at your destination. With just a few dollars, you can enjoy unlimited service wherever you are.
WhatsApp is another excellent app for traveling. It's free and keeps you connected whenever Wi-Fi is available.

Accommodations
When searching for accommodation in London, I recommend choosing a location that is strategically convenient for your plans. For instance, we decided to stay near Victoria/Belgravia because our day trips were starting from the bus station in Victoria.
I enjoy using the website booking.com for all my accommodations. It allows you to select specific criteria for a location and refine your options, with numerous reviews to guide you in making the ideal choice. I also consult Rick Steves' travel books for his suggestions.
Sometimes, accommodations may be fully booked on booking.com, so I check the hotel's own website for availability. This was the case for me when I wanted to stay at the Lime Tree Hotel in Belgravia. It was booked on booking.com, but I managed to secure a room directly through the hotel's website.
It's important to remember that accommodations should be booked several months in advance of your visit.

Lime Tree Hotel
Staying at the Lime Tree Hotel felt like a dream. Situated in the heart of Belgravia and only a short walk from the renowned Peggy Porschen bakery, this hotel was an ideal place to stay.
The hotel is within walking distance of numerous eateries, taverns, Victoria Station, and a bus line.
A boutique townhouse hotel located in the heart of beautiful Belgravia,
While they do not serve breakfast here, they do have an on-site restaurant, The Buttery, open from 7 am - 4 pm daily. Reservations are essential on weekends, but during the week, you can usually walk in and find a table. We dined here on a weekday, and it wasn't very crowded.
one of London’s most elegant neighbourhoods.A boutique townhouse
Day One: London!
Our flight touched down at Heathrow around 9:30 am on a beautiful fall Saturday, bringing us to our hotel by noon. I managed to secure an early check-in for a small charge, and once we arrived at the Lime Tree Hotel, we checked in, refreshed ourselves, and got ready for our first day in London.
Afternoon Tea at Peggy Porschen
Our main goal was to enjoy afternoon tea at the beautiful Peggy Porschen. I had booked the afternoon tea months in advance because this place is very popular, and reservations are essential, particularly on weekends.
Peggy Porschen is an enchanting bakery offering takeaway delights, as well as a dining spot for breakfast, brunch, and afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea was an enchanting experience. At £55 per person, we enjoyed an array of delectable finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes, complemented by our own selected pot of steeped tea. I opted for a floral rose chamomile, which was the perfect addition my meal.
Although there are numerous spots in London for afternoon tea, I must admit that enjoying it at Peggy Porschen was a delightful and pink experience.

Although I anticipated that the cakes would be the highlight of the meal, it was the tea sandwiches that stole the spotlight. Each of us had a favorite sandwich, but they were all delightful. Mine, in particular was the St. Ewe’s Egg with mayo, chives & black truffle. Delicious!!!

Westminster Abbey
Our initial must-visit attraction was Westminster Abbey. This royal church has hosted numerous coronations and weddings since 1066 and serves as the burial site for over 3000 Britons.
We had several ways to reach Westminster Abbey: a 25-minute walk, a 14-minute journey by Tube or bus, or an 8-minute Uber ride. (Uber is a great way to get around London) Being a group of five, we opted for the Uber ride as the cost was nearly the same.
This magnificent Gothic abbey church is rich in history. Envision William the Conqueror's coronation occurring here in 1066, all the way to Prince William and Catherine Middleton's wedding ceremony in 2011.
While a tour of the abbey would have been preferable and doable since we were arriving on a Saturday afternoon, there happened to be a special evensong taking place that day. Therefore, we entered the church for free to attend the evensong. An evensong is a service that adheres to the traditional format found in The Book of Common Prayer, featuring choral music from the Anglican musical heritage, scripture readings, and prayers.
This was a wonderful and distinctive way to explore the church, yet we were unable to experience everything this place provides.
Prices to enter are:
Adults - £28
Adults aged 65+ and students - £24
Children (6-17 years) - £11
General opening times
Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 3.30pm (last entry)
Saturday: 9.00am - 3.00pm (last entry)
Sunday: Open for services
The ideal time to visit Westminster Abbey is right when it opens. To ensure your visit, purchase a ticket online rather than in person, or arrange a private tour. Viator is a great website to obtain a tour.

Big Ben or The Great Clock of Westminster
Just a few short steps away is the world's most known clock tower. Situated just north of the Palace of Westminster, this clock was finished in 1859. It is designed in the Gothic Revival style and is richly adorned with stone carvings, featuring symbols associated with the four nations of the United Kingdom and the Anglo-Welsh Tudor dynasty.
The clock retains its original mechanism and, at the time of its completion, was the largest and most precise four-faced striking and chiming clock globally.
Big Ben refers to the Great Bell inside the clock tower. The nickname might originate from Sir Benjamin Hall, who supervised its installation. Nonetheless, Big Ben stands as a British cultural icon. It is among the most notable symbols of the United Kingdom and parliamentary democracy.

From this spot, glance across the street to find a pair of iconic red phone booths, offering an ideal photo opportunity with Big Ben right behind you. The best one is located on Great George Street, adjacent to Great George Street, directly across from Parliament Square Garden. Beware, the lines can get long waiting for this opportunity.

Walk over Westminster Bridge
Head east over Westminster Bridge to soak up the spectacular views of the Palace of Westminster and Thames River.
To capture a memorable and highly Instagrammable photo, cross the bridge and turn right. Descend the stairs to the embankment and continue to the right. Head all the way towards the bridge, and you'll find an arch on your right, perfect for taking stunning photos.
Remember to pack your patience when visiting these photo locations, as they attract many others seeking similar shots. Hopefully, you won't end up behind an influencer aiming for 200 photos like we did!
Thames River Boat Tour
Numerous boat tours on the Thames River start just behind the London Eye, the massive observation wheel located on the south bank.
Since we intended to ride the London Eye, we chose a boat tour with the London Eye River Cruise. You can book tickets for both on the London Eye website and save some money

The 40-minute circular tour was both enjoyable and informative. Our tour guide provided historical insights about all the landmarks we observed during the cruise, including renowned sites like the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern, the Tower of London, and Tower Bridge.
We thoroughly enjoyed embarking on this boat tour on our first day to gain a distinctive view of the lively city.

Just a few steps away is the London Eye, or Millennium Wheel, Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. It is the UK's most popular paid tourist attraction, drawing over three million visitors annually.
I strongly suggest taking a ride on the London Eye. The aerial views are breathtaking, particularly if you schedule your ride at dusk. It offers a 30-minute rotation, providing 360-degree views of the city.
The ride moves so slowly that you hardly realize you're in motion.
I strongly suggest purchasing tickets online before arriving. I decided to spend extra on fast track tickets and was very pleased with my choice. The line for regular tickets stretched almost a mile. If your time in London is limited, paying a bit more for fast track is definitely worthwhile. Ticket prices range from £29 - £49 per person.

To save time, we decided to take a taxi or Uber back to our hotel, which took about 15 minutes. We were exhausted after our first day exploring London, but we were eager to head out for dinner and savor some delicious tavern food and drinks.
Dinner at The Star Tavern
The Star Tavern in Belgravia is just a brief 10-minute walk from our hotel. It seems that The Star has a rich history of visits from notorious figures.
The Star was a friendly tavern serving delicious English pub fare, such as beer-battered haddock and chips. Pair it with a refreshing Fuller's Frontier beer or a Guinness.
The first day was complete, and we returned to our hotel for a good night's rest.
Day Two: Day Trip to Cotswolds and Oxford

We booked a day trip to the Cotswolds and Oxford through Viator for this day. This full-day (ten hours) tour started close by our hotel at the Green Line Coach Station.
Read my blog post here to discover more about my day trip to The Cotswolds and Oxford.
Chestnut Bakery for Breakfast
First things first, coffee! Chestnut Bakery is just a minute's walk from the Lime Tree Hotel, making it convenient for days when you plan to leave early and require a quick breakfast.
To start our day, we dropped by Chestnut Bakery for coffee and pastries on our way to the Coach Station. It was just a short distance away. Open every day from 7 am to 6 pm, they serve amazingly good croissants, pastries, and sandwiches along with an array of drinks.
An excellent way to begin our day!
We then took the short walk to the Green Line Coach Station where we met our driver for our small group tour in the Cotswolds and Oxford.
The St. George's Tavern
After an amazing day of exploration, we chose to visit another nearby iconic British tavern, The St. George's Tavern, which was close to our hotel.
It seems that Sunday Roast is very popular in England! Sadly, we arrived too late to try any of the dishes they served that day (once it's gone, it's gone). Instead, we tasted other traditional English pub fare. I opted for the Bangers and Mash with a rich caramelized onion gravy and crispy onions. My sister went for their famous Steak & Ale pie with Pale Ale gravy in a thyme pastry crust. Fabulous! And nothing is more quintessentially English than Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. This was the highlight of the meal.
The ambiance was pleasant and the food was very good. As an American, adjusting to the service in European countries can be challenging. The service is quite relaxed, as it is included in the meal's price. Remember, tipping is not necessary in England. If the service was exceptional, you can add about five percent.
Interestingly, our visit coincided with the NFL game in London, where the Minnesota Vikings faced the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. From my perspective, it appeared that Britons were somewhat overwhelmed by the presence of Americans at that time. It appeared that 90 percent of the tavern's patrons were Americans.

Day Three: London!
We began our day with a breakfast at The Buttery, situated in our hotel. At the start of this post, you can find details about our delightful breakfast and information about our hotel, The Lime Tree.
Changing of the Guard/Buckingham Palace
I found a great company called London Walks that provides numerous daily tours of London for only about £20 per adult.
I opted for the Changing of the Guard tour with London Walks. We took an Uber to the Eros statue situated near the Piccadilly Circus Tube where we met the spirited and very knowledgeable tour guide.

The two-hour tour took us through St. James Park, where we watched the Military Band perform as we made our way to the Changing of the Guard. We then observed the Changing of the Guard along with thousands of other spectators.
We then strolled through St. James Park to watch The King's Life Guard conduct their Changing of the Guard ceremony. This occurs at Horse Guards, the official entrance to Buckingham Palace.
Horse Guards was designed in the eighteenth century by William Kent, who was the Chief Architect under George II at the time.
Two mounted cavalry troopers from The King's Life Guard are stationed outside the building from 10am to 4pm every day. The Life Guard change occurs here at 11:00 am daily and at 10:00 am on Sundays.
Discovering this area can be difficult unless you book a tour with London Walks, which I highly recommend. He not only showed us all the sights but also provided extensive historical information that greatly enhanced our enjoyment of the tour.

Covent Garden
Feeling hungry for lunch, we headed to Seven Dials Market, a 20-minute walk from our location. Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, Seven Dials Market is an exciting food hall featuring 20 independent traders and two bars.
Spanning two stories with plenty of seating, we explored our choices and ultimately enjoyed some tasty Banh Mi sandwiches and pizza. There is so much to choose from and everything looked fabulous.
We decided to dine at Seven Dials Market because we planned to stroll and shop in Covent Garden and wanted just a quick bite. Situated in the West End of London, Covent Garden is famous for its high-end fashion and beauty shops, along with its acclaimed restaurants and theaters. You can also find shops such as H&M, Free People and Zara.

Neal's Yard
Be sure to visit the vibrant Neal's Yard. Located in London's Covent Garden, Neal's Yard is a narrow alley connecting Shorts Gardens and Monmouth Street, leading to a courtyard full of shops and eateries. It is named after the 17th-century developer, Thomas Neale. Colorful and charming.
There are numerous shops to select from. My personal favorite was Choosing Keeping, a charming little stationery store providing unique paper, pens, notebooks, and much more.
Dolce VyTA by Matteo
The highlight of going on vacation is savoring the food. I had watched Instagram reels of people trying an Italian pastry known as maritozzo. Here, they craft this treat with a traditional vanilla Chantilly cream stuffed inside a brioche roll and garnish it with pistachios, strawberries, or dark chocolate cream.
I'm thrilled I got to try this delicious treat. I can't stop thinking about it!
Dolce VyTA by Matteo features two nearby locations. One is a restaurant offering delicious Italian cuisine, including the famous maritozzo. However, if you prefer just the maritozzo, you can find this ultimate dessert around the corner at 46 The Market in Covent Garden.
The Tube
We needed to journey over to the Tower of London for a 3:30 pm entry and the quickest way possible to get through London is on "The Tube"!
Holding our Visitor Oyster cards, we headed towards the nearby District
line. Google Maps is the optimal tool for planning your journey. Also, the TfL Go app is extremely handy when you need to get around London.
Mind the gap!!!!
We simply touched our Oyster card flat on a yellow card reader to enter the station. Also, lay your Oyster card flat on the yellow card reader when you leave the station.
Using the London Tube with an Oyster card in Zone 1 during peak times costs £2.80 per trip. If you intend to travel on The Tube throughout the day, there is a daily cap of £8.50, which is convenient. I found The Tube to be a great way to get around when traffic is busy.

Tower of London
We arrived at the Tower Hill underground station, which is a five minute walk to the Tower of London.I bought tickets ahead of time since they might sell out on the day. You can buy tickets on their website.
Tower of London ticket prices (excluding donation):
Members: Free
Adult: £34.80
Child age 5-15: £17.40
The Tower of London is an must see attraction to visit in London if you are a history buff. Situated on the north bank of the River Thames and constructed in 1078 by William the Conqueror, this historic castle was a remarkable sight. Every 30 minutes, you can join a complimentary Yeoman Warder (Beefeaters) tour of the Tower of London. These highly knowledgeable individuals were once the King's Bodyguards. You will be entertained with tales from the past.
Take a close look at the Crown Jewels. Since 1661, the Tower of London has been the home and display site for the Crown Jewels. Witnessing these magnificent crowns and scepters from past coronations is truly a breathtaking experience.

Learn about the ravens that live here. For centuries ravens have been the guardians of the Tower. The names of the current Tower ravens are Jubilee, Harris, Poppy, Georgie, Edgar and Branwen.
These intelligent birds are so fun to see around the castle.
While the existing chapel of St Peter ad Vincula (above) was built during Henry VIII's reign (c.1520), a worship site has existed here for over a millennium, even before the White Tower.

Once your Yeoman Warder tour is over, you will be able to wander the castle at your leisure.

Tower Bridge
The renowned Tower Bridge is only a short walk from the Tower of London, which is the origin of the bridge's name. Stroll along the River Thames for a great opportunity to photograph Tower Bridge.
This magnificent bridge is both a bascule and suspension bridge constructed between 1886 and 1894, spanning the River Thames. You can walk across the bridge on the lower level walkways or buy tickets to explore the high-level walkways and feel the excitement of viewing London life through the Glass Floors.
Strolling across the Tower Bridge was an enjoyable way to take in breathtaking views of London.

Dinner at Vicinity
Only a few short steps away is the restaurant Vicinity, located within the Tower Hotel. I reserved a fun and warm fire pit (minimum £150 spend) for outdoor dining with stunning views.
If you prefer a table, there are also standard dining tables available.
The food and beverages were delicious. We savored the charcuterie and nachos as starters and each enjoyed our individual main course.
After concluding our day tour of a vibrant section of London, where we had the opportunity to explore iconic landmarks, indulge in local cuisine, and soak in the rich history that you can only find in the city of London, we decided it was time to return to our hotel. We booked an Uber to enjoy a comfortable and convenient journey back.
Day Four: Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour &
Camden Market

Warner Bros Studio Tour/Harry Potter
The Warner Bros Studio Tour is situated 20 miles northwest of London. Since we planned to spend approximately 4 hours exploring the studio and I preferred not to drive or use "The Tube", I arranged a tour through Viator that included tickets for our desired arrival time and transportation to and from the studio. If you prefer, explore other guide companies that provide transportation or choose your own and book your tour directly with Warner Bros. Keep in mind that tickets for this tour sell out quickly, so be sure to book well in advance.
Like our day trip to the Cotswolds, the meeting point for this tour was conveniently located near our hotel at the Victoria Coach Station. Therefore, we had another delicious and quick breakfast at Chestnut Bakery on our way there.
We went in the fall of 2024 for the Dark Arts feature, where the Death Eaters performed, making it a fun and engaging experience.
You will visit two studios, and between them is a refreshment area where you can enjoy a snack or meal, including delicious butterbeer!
An additional enjoyable feature is that you will receive a Harry Potter passport, which can be stamped in specific rooms. This passport feature not only adds an element of fun and interactivity to your experience but also serves as a creative way to commemorate your adventures in the world of Harry Potter.
Visiting will be a dream come true for Harry Potter fans. You can explore the sets where the films were made and view the props and costumes that brought one of the greatest movie series to life.
After finishing the tour, which concludes with insights into the creation of the movie series, you can explore a large gift shop. Just make sure you have enough room in your luggage to bring your souvenirs home.

Our tour was a captivating and enchanting experience. I strongly suggest this tour to any Harry Potter enthusiast. We also enjoyed dressing alike and wearing the scarf of our Hogwarts house.
We boarded the bus at our scheduled departure time after spending 4 hours at Warner Bros and returned to a location near the Victoria Coach Station approximately an hour later.
Camden Market

We spent the entire evening exploring the eclectic Camden Market. This entertaining and distinctive market is filled with around 1,000 unusual shops and food.
Camden Market consists of several unique sections, including Camden Lock Market, Stables Market, and Hawley Wharf, among others. It's advisable to spend at least a few hours to explore this area.
Reaching this location would have required a few transfers on the Tube, so we opted for a reliable Uber driver to bring us here. Otherwise, you can check out their website to see other options on getting there.
Funky Chips
The first destination was Funky Chips, known for having the best chips in London! These chips (known as french fries in America) were incredibly delicious. We savored the loaded Cheesy Chips with extra garlic and funky sauce. My only regret is not buying more!
Following our appetizer of Funky Chips, we opted to do some shopping. Camden Market is loaded with stores, offering everything from jewelry to vintage clothing.
Yorkshire Burrito
Now hungry for more to eat, we found Yorkshire Burrito with their Yorkshire pudding stuffed burrito. I got the braised beef with sage and onion stuffing, roasted potatoes and gravy with a splash of cranberry sauce on top. It was such a fun and unique way to get our Sunday Roast all wrapped up in a British burrito.
The gravy was full of flavor, but I thought the meat and other components could have been more flavorful.
Humble Crumble
To end a perfect day we finished with a treat from Humble Crumble! I adore the unique idea of this delectable dessert. Picture fruit compotes crowned with crumbled shortbread and then drenched in your choice of hot custard, cold custard, meringue, whipped cream, and more.
They update their menu with the seasons, offering diverse and exciting choices. It was so delicious!
We wrapped up our final day in London! We arranged for an Uber to return us to our hotel. Tomorrow, we intend to explore Borough Market and get a blowout at a nearby salon before boarding the Eurostar to France.
Day Five: Blowout/Borough Market/Eurostar to France

I arranged for the girls on our trip to have a blowout at a salon near our hotel. A member of our group is a stylist and had always dreamed of getting her hair done in another country, so I made it possible.
I looked up salons near our hotel and discovered several options. However, as we were departing for France that afternoon, I sought out a salon with the earliest opening hours to allow us more time at Borough Market.
Hershesons in Belgravia was perfect for them. The girls appreciated the salon's warm and welcoming atmosphere. All three stylists did an outstanding job on their hair, and the girls highly recommend the experience.
Their hair looked so soft and bouncy. I regretted not scheduling an appointment for myself.

Borough Market
Since 1756, Borough Market has been situated near London Bridge. This historic market is renowned for offering fresh food that can be purchased to cook at home or savored at one of the numerous delightful eateries that use the market's exceptional produce.
Reaching Borough Market via underground transportation is straightforward. Although taking a taxi or Uber was simpler and equally cost-effective for our group, it wasn't quicker or as punctual. Using the underground ensured I would return to our hotel at a specific time, whereas surface transportation can vary due to traffic conditions. Make sure to keep your Visitor Oyster card accessible.

Borough Market is managed by a charitable trust for the community's benefit. They make certain that the food serves the community's interests.
I must say, it truly stands out. I don't believe I've ever tasted food this fresh or delicious.
Turnips
The first stop was the Turnips produce stand, where the most succulent strawberries were coated in melted Belgian chocolate. These delightful strawberries were incredibly fresh and flavorful, as if they had just been handpicked. Topped off with rich hot chocolate, it became an extraordinary treat.
I strongly suggest trying these much-talked-about strawberries.
The Black Pig
The Black Pig followed, offering Italian pork and cheese ciabattas enhanced with honey truffle and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Absolutely amazing sandwiches! Nearby you can find a row of seats to sit down and enjoy this yummy sandwich.

Le Marche Du Quartier
Make sure to stop by Le Marche Du Quartier for a refreshing Lavender Lemonade!
The Ginger Pig
After enjoying our sandwich and strawberries, we felt quite full, but we still had a bit of space for a sausage roll at The Ginger Pig.
This family-run butcher shop offers incredible meats from local farms, along with delicious premade ale pies and sausage rolls that are simply irresistible.

Borough Market offers a lot to enjoy, including dining options like the restaurant Roast.
Following an extraordinary experience at Borough Market, we returned to our hotel to check out and then headed to St. Pancras Station to catch the Eurostar to France.
Our trip to England was brief yet filled with exciting and enjoyable memories that we will cherish for years to come. From the moment we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere of London enveloped us, igniting our curiosity and sense of adventure.
We embarked on a whirlwind journey through some of the city's most iconic landmarks, such as the majestic Tower of London, where we marveled at the Crown Jewels, and the historic Westminster Abbey, a stunning testament to the country's rich heritage. Even though we couldn't see everything that London and England have to offer, we made the most of our limited time by carefully selecting a few must-see attractions. We strolled along the picturesque banks of the River Thames, taking in the breathtaking views of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
The bustling markets, such as Borough Market and Camden Market, provided a feast for the senses, with an array of delicious foods and local delicacies that we eagerly sampled. Our evenings were spent enjoying cozy pubs where we savored traditional fish and chips.
We found ourselves captivated by the charm of the English countryside as well, with a day trip to the quaint village of the Cotswolds, where the stunning and beautiful golden stone and rolling hills left us in awe. The serenity of the countryside was a refreshing contrast to the bustling city life.
Reflecting on our journey, we realized that our time in England was just a taste of what this incredible destination has to offer. With so many more attractions, hidden gems, and cultural experiences waiting to be discovered, we’ll simply have to plan another visit to explore more extensively and delve deeper into the rich tapestry of history, art, and tradition that defines England.

The Eurostar transports you to Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris in a short amount of time.
I bought our tickets months ahead of time, selecting our specific seats. Go through border control at St Pancras Station, then sit back and unwind until your train leaves. We'll arrive in Paris in 2.5 hours.

Au revoir, London, and bonjour, France!
